CTP attended the opening of Mockley Manors new 8 bedroom Palliative Care Unit on 14th February 2018 and viewed their excellent new unit.
The High Sheriff of the West Midlands, John Hudson, was the guest of honour and the event was commemorated with the holding a tree planting ceremony.
Mockley Manor has undergone extensive refurbishment in order to provide the perfect setting for quality residential care and respite care, including 24-hour nursing care for people living with dementia and specialising in end-of-life care which is portrayed by the opening of their new eight-bedroom palliative care unit.
Rachel Crocker – Manager explained “Palliative care is about maximising the person’s quality of life, and ensuring their death is a peaceful and dignified process. It takes a really special breed of carer to provide palliative care – genuinely caring and sensitive people with a real sense of empathy.”
CTP work closely with Rachel in respect of the delivery of Professional Qualifications for her team and we witness first hand their dedication.
